Post Best Surf Shop

Surf City is has the most recognized brands in surfing and a big selection. It's also an easy place to go with all the parking they have. I like being able to stop by and grab some Ms. Palmers when I need it. Some of the guys working there are complete idiots though in my opinion and sometimes they give off a bad vibe. I've seen their team riders act very rudely to other surfers, especially the kids, so not a big fan of that. The owner of the shop is a great guy and probably wouldn't approve of their 'out of shop' behavior.

The best surf shop for used boards is probably Sweetwater Surf Shop on Lumina. Vibe seems a little better too. They do a lot of good things for the community and their team riders seem to be more respectful.

Aussie Island is a good shop, but their selection is limited by the competition monopolizing a lot of the brands. Guys are really nice. Place has the most positive vibe and it carries Robert's Surfboards (Shaper of the Year 2011). This is the place to go if you want to rent a bike or a board or hang out. I've seen some Loop t-shirts and some other stuff there. I don't think they have them at Sweetwater Surf Shop or Surf City Surf Shop.

South End Surf Shop carries some different brands including The North Face®. The store is pretty big and they have a decent selection too. Not a fan of the surfboards they sell, but you might be. Owner is a nice guy who goes out of his way for customers. Good location at the South End of the Island.
