The Wrightsville Beach Museum of History, housed in the turn of the century Myers Cottage, exists to preserve and to share the history of Wrightsville Beach.

Visitors to the cottage will find a scale model of Wrightsville Beach circa 1910, exhibits featuring the early days of the beach including Lumina Pavilion, our hurricane history and information about the interaction between the people and our natural environment which have shaped the 100 year history of Wrightsville Beach.  The Museum is designed to reflect how life was lived in a typical home on the Beach and throughout the community.

We are always happy to welcome you to the Museum and to hear of your interest in the history of Wrightsville Beach.  Please visit us when at the Beach to see what we have added to our collections.

When you have guests and friends at the Beach, bring them by the Museum to help them understand why this town, this beach, this part of North Carolina, are such special parts of our lives — and our memories.  We are currently open Tuesday through Sunday, and admission to the Wrightsville Beach Museum of History is FREE, but donations are always welcomed.  We look forward to your visit!Exterior
