Cape Fear Academy Head Coach Paul Gilbert leads the Summer Lacrosse
Camp at Wrightsville Beach Park. His team of instructors includes experienced fun and friendly local area middle school and high school coaches. The goal of this camp is to
teach the fundamentals of lacrosse to youth in a fun and positive way. Sessions will consist of stick skills, & drills teaching proper catching and throwing. In addition to teaching rules of the game, there will be a heavy emphasis on sportsmanship that will be modeled and rewarded.

Ages: 11—14 (rising 5th through 8th grades)
Dates: July 8—July 12, 2013
Time: 5:00—8:00 pm
Location: Wrightsville Beach Park Soccer Field
Fees: Wrightsville Beach Residents $140
Non—Residents $175
Equipment: Each child must bring his or her own equipment. Girls bring
water bottle, stick, protective eyewear and mouth guard. Boys bring water
bottle, stick, helmet, arm and shoulder pads, mouth guard, gloves, and athletic supporter. We suggest that items be marked with student’s name.

Camp Size: Minimum of 20 children. The ratio of children to professional
player will depend on the number of children who sign up for camp, but will
be no greater than 10/1.

Weather: Unless the weather is severe (lightning and thunder), camp will
be held at the scheduled time.
